The Dental Implant Process at Reflections

The dental implants process here at Reflections Dental Spa requires an initial consultation to discuss the challenges that you have with your teeth and what goals you would like to achieve. We can then determine the best treatment plan to give you the smile you desire. Once we are ready to begin the implant process, the first step involves placing the implant into your mouth. After this step is complete, we need to leave the implant for a short time to ensure it heals correctly.

The healing period is very important as it allows the implant time to fuse with the bone through a process called osseointegration. The reason for this is to allow the implant to function like a natural tooth root. For the implant to remain sturdy, and provide the required support, you must have enough bone present in your jaw. We will discuss this with you before we think about starting your treatment and suggest solutions if you do not have enough bone.

Once the healing process is complete, you return to our office to complete your treatment. A abutment or connector is placed on top of the implant, and this holds the crown securely in place. Custom crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color of your natural teeth.
